About CCS HAU Young Professional-II (YP-II) Recruitment

The Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU), Hisar, has released a notification for one contractual post of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the research scheme 3828-C(g)-PB-124-OA. The Principal Investigator for the project is Dr. Pawan Kumar. Candidates must submit their application in the prescribed format (Annexure A) to the office of the Professor & Head by 20 November 2026. The interview for the eligible candidates will be held on 21 November 2026 at 3:30 PM at the office of the Director of Research, CCS HAU, Hisar.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding or a Graduate degree in Agricultural Sciences.
• Desirable Qualification: Candidates having working experience in pulse crops will be given preference.
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years as on the last date of submission of application (Age relaxation applicable as per university rules).
• Additional Requirements: Ph.D. students must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Dean PGS at the time of interview.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection of candidates will be based on a Direct Interview scheduled for 21 November 2026 at 3:30 PM in the office of the Director of Research, CCS HAU, Hisar. Candidates must produce original certificates for verification during the interview. No separate interview letter will be issued, and No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Contract Duration & Conditions

• The tenure of the appointment is up to 31 March 2027, which is likely to be extended.
• The maximum engagement of a YP-II is three years (1+1+1) or the duration of the post, whichever is earlier.
• This is a temporary contractual position. The YP-II will not be considered a regular employee and will not be entitled to CPF/GPF or other benefits of regular university employees.
• Services can be terminated at any time due to unsatisfactory work/conduct or if the funding agency fails to release funds.
• The selected candidate must join within 15 days of receiving the appointment order, failing which the appointment stands cancelled.
• A medical fitness certificate from the CMO of the University and an agreement on non-judicial stamped paper of Rs. 15/- are required at the time of joining.

Applications received after this date will not be entertained. Ph.D. students must attach their NOC from the Dean PGS.
