Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2026 - UTET-I & UTET-II
The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (Board of School Education Uttarakhand) has released the notification for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2026. This eligibility test is conducted at two levels - UTET-I for primary classes (I to V) and UTET-II for upper primary classes (VI to VIII). Educational Qualification (Minimum):
UTET-I (Primary): Senior Secondary (50%) + 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC OR Senior Secondary (45%) + D.El.Ed (as per old NCTE norms) OR Senior Secondary (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed OR Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed, among other options.
UTET-II (Upper Primary): Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed OR Graduation (50%) + 1-year B.Ed OR Senior Secondary (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed, among other options.

📝 How to Apply Step-by-Step
Candidates must apply online only through the official UTET portal. The application process is completely online.
- Visit the Official Website: Go to www.ukutet.com.
- Registration: Click on "New Applicant?" and register by providing your name, father's name, mobile number, and email ID. Verify the OTP received.
- Fill Application Form: Log in with the registration number and password received. Fill in all personal, educational, and exam-preference details accurately. Select your exam level (UTET-I, UTET-II, or Both), language choices, subject (for UTET-II), and exam city preferences.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression as per the specified dimensions and file size.
- Preview and Lock: Preview the completed application form carefully. Accept the declaration and lock the form. No changes are possible after locking.
- Pay Fee: Pay the applicable application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI by 6 August 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Print Application: After successful payment, take a printout of the completed application form and fee receipt for your records.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- Eligibility Check: Carefully review all eligibility criteria and codes in the official Information Brochure before applying. Ensure you meet the requirements for the level you are applying for.
- Language Choice: Choose your First Language (medium of instruction) and Second Language carefully. The Second Language must be different from the First Language.
- Training In Progress: Candidates currently enrolled in a required training course (like D.El.Ed or B.Ed) are eligible to appear for UTET, but the certificate will be valid only upon passing that course.
- Document Verification: The Board does not verify details during online application. Verification of eligibility will be done by the appointing authority during actual recruitment.
- Correction Window: In case of errors in the application, use the correction window from 8 to 11 August 2026. No corrections are accepted after this period.
- Exam Day: Carry your printed admit card and a valid original photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Passport, PAN Card) to the exam centre.
- Prohibited Items: Electronic gadgets, calculators, mobile phones, and study material are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
- Disputes: All disputes related to UTET 2026 are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Ramnagar (Nainital).
