Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Age Limit & Experience
- Maximum Age: 40 years (Age, qualifications, and experience calculated as on the last date of application). Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India / UGC policy.
- Essential Experience: 3 years' experience in a Museum of National or Regional importance under Central/State Govt. or Union Territory control, including 1 year of practical experience in collection, conservation/preservation, and exhibition of art objects.
Essential Educational Qualification (Any One Route)
- Master's Degree with 55% marks in Museology / History of Art from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Master's Degree with 55% marks in Ancient Indian History / Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit / Persian / Arabic / Archaeology / Anthropology / Fine Arts or allied subjects, AND a Diploma/Certificate in Museology of a recognized Institution.
Desirable Qualification
- Research experience in a Museum with published research work.
- Practical training and experience in the relevant field.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Screening: A Screening Committee will devise criteria to scrutinize applications and restrict the number of candidates called for the interview.
- Interview: Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for an interview. Call letters will be sent via email only.
- Document Verification: Candidates must bring all original certificates of age, qualifications, and experience. Failure to produce originals may result in non-appearance or cancellation of candidature.
- Waiting List: A panel as a waiting list may be drawn. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post.
Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Service Conditions & Job Nature
- The engagement is purely on a contract basis for a period not exceeding 12 months.
