Educational Qualification
- For Junior Engineer(Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board. Three years’ Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and Two years’ experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
- For Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University; or Three-Year diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and two years experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Works.
- For Junior Engineer(Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.
- For Junior Engineer(Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute; or Three-Year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. Two years experience in the respective field.
Age Limit
30 years and the maximum age is capped at 32 years.
For certain categories, age relaxation provisions are applicable:
- OBC and ESW (Ex-Servicemen) Candidates are entitled to a relaxation of 3 years.
- SC and ST Candidates have a relaxation of 5 years.
- PWD (Persons with Disabilities) Candidates benefit from a significant relaxation of 10 years.

- The SSC JE 2024 online application process involves two main sections: One-Time Registration and Online Application Form.
- Candidates must first refer to the SSC’s Notice of Examination for One-Time Registration. They then visit the official SSC website and click on ‘Register Now’ in the Login section.
- Before initiating the registration process, candidates should prepare essential documents, including a confirmed Mobile Number/Email ID, Aadhaar Number or other identification proof, and documents like Elector ID Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.
- Additionally, candidates need to provide details such as the name of the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the tenth standard examination.
- They must also upload a passport-sized color photo and scanned signature during the registration process.
- Candidates must ensure the accuracy of all details provided during the One-Time Registration, including their name, date of birth, contact information, photograph, signature, and other essential and additional information.
- It’s crucial to complete all registration steps within 7 days to prevent data loss, as saved details will be permanently erased after this period.
- Candidates are advised not to wait until the last date to register, as incorrect information may lead to the rejection of their application.
