Rajasthan is a state in northern India. It covers 342,239 square kilometres or 10.4 per cent of India’s total geographical area. It is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh-largest by population.
The Government of Rajasthan also known as the State Government of Rajasthan, or locally as State Government, is the supreme governing authority of the Indian state of Rajasthan and its 33 districts.
India celebrates three national holidays every year; in January, we celebrate Republic Day to honour the creation of our constitution. Independence Day is celebrated in August to honour freedom from the United Kingdom. Finally, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in October.
Some holidays are specific only to the state of Rajasthan and only observed in the state.

List of Bank Holidays inRajasthan 2022
All the above-mentioned public holidays will be observed by the banks in Rajasthan state. Other than this, the banks inRajasthan also mark all Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays as holidays. However, it should be noted that services like ATM, IMPS, NEFT, etc remain active on the bank holidays.
School Holidays in Rajasthan 2022
Almost every Government holiday mentioned above is observed by the schools ofRajasthan state. Other than this, Sundays are marked as holidays too. However, Saturdays are not observed as holidays by all the schools and every school has its own policy regarding this. Important Note:
- वर्ष में समस्त शनिवार व रविवार का सामान्य अवकाश रहेगा।
- नेगोशिएबल इंस्ट्रूमेंट एक्ट 1881 की धाराओं के अंतर्गत बैंक कर्मचारियों के लिए सार्वजनिक अवकाश वित्त विभाग द्वारा पृथक से प्रकाशित किये जायेंगे।
- स्थानीय मेला/ त्योंहार आदि के लिए प्रत्येक जिले में सम्बंधित जिला कलेक्टर एवमदिल्ली स्थित राजकीय कार्यालयों में प्रमुख आवासीय/ आवासीय आयुक्त कार्यालय, नई दिल्ली दो स्थानीय अवकाश घोषित करेंगे। यदि बाद में इन तिथियों के दिन राज्य सरकार के द्वारा कोई राजपत्रित अवकाश घोषित किया जाता है तो भी यह अपरवर्तनीय रहेगा। स्थानीय अवकाश घोषित कर, आदेश की प्रति सम्बंधित जिला कलेक्टर इस विभाग को तुरंत भिजवाएंगे।
- कोटा जिले में जन्माष्टमी के बाद आने वाला दिन स्वतः जन्माष्टमी के स्थान पर अवकाश के रूप में माना जावेगा।
- मुस्लिम अवकाश चन्द्रमा दिखाई देने पर निर्भर करेंगे।
- यह आदेश केवल राजकीय कार्यालयों पर लागू रहेंगे।
