Educational Qualification:
Assistant Professor: BE / B.Tech / BS and ME / M.Tech / MS or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees

Associate Professor: (i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned /allied/relevant disciplines. (ii) A Master ‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed). (iii) A minimum of 7 publications in the peer-reviewed or UGClisted journals and a total research score of seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Notification Dated 18 July, 2018.

Professor: An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of One Hundred Twenty (120) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Notification Dated 18 July, 2018.

Pay Scale: INR 57700-144200/- Per Month

  • Professor: Ph.D. degree with 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience
  • Associate Professor: Ph.D. degree with 8 years of teaching/research/industrial experience
  • Assistant Professor: Ph.D. degree or Master’s degree with 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET qualification

Non-Teaching Positions

  • Registrar: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and 15 years of administrative experience
  • Finance Officer: Master’s degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and 15 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Medical Officer: MBBS degree with 5 years of experience
  • Assistant Registrar: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and 8 years of experience in administrative/academic matters

Harcourt Butler Technical University (Formerly Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur) has always been a paragon and a source of inspiration in the field of science and technology since the year 1921. Now, as per Act No. 11 of 2016 by the government of Uttar Pradesh it is upgraded to University, i.e, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur (HBTU, Kanpur).
