ICAR Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mitraniketan is the Farm Science Centre of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for Thiruvananthapuram District and was established in 1979 at Mitraniketan to work for transferring agricultural and allied technologies to farmers, rural youth and extension functionaries of Thiruvananthapuram district. The KVK won ‘Best KVK Award’ instituted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research for the biennium 1998-2001 for the commendable service rendered to the farming community of Thiruvananthapuram district.
