The State Government of Tamil Nadu on 2nd November 2021 announced a fresh list of 23 public holidays during the year 2022 for all state government offices.
The Government Gazette (G.O. No.935) is published by the Department of Public (Miscellaneous) under the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881 for all the state government offices and all commercial banks including co-operative banks in Tamil Nadu for the year 2022. India celebrates three national holidays every year; in January, we celebrate Republic Day to honour the creation of our constitution. Independence Day is celebrated in August to honour freedom from the United Kingdom. Finally, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in October.
