DEO Balod Recruitment 2026 – 93 Sangwari Guruji Vacancies (Offline Application)

The Office of the District Education Officer, District Balod (Chhattisgarh) has issued Advertisement No. 9120/संगवारी गुरूजी/2026 dated 6 November 2026, inviting offline applications for 93 temporary Sangwari Guruji positions across government schools in Balod block, Dondi block, Dondi Lohara block, Gurur block, and mining-affected areas of Balod district. • Sangwari Guruji (Lecturer): Postgraduate degree in second division (minimum second division) in the relevant subject from a recognised university or institute, along with B.Ed. Subject-wise rules apply for Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Political Science/History, Geography/Economics, and Social Studies.
• Sangwari Guruji (Teacher): Graduation with at least 45% marks with the relevant subject(s) at graduation level, along with B.Ed. and Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification. Subject-wise rules apply for Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Social Science, Mathematics, and Science.
• Sangwari Guruji (Assistant Teacher): Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) obtained as per NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002, and Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification.

Additional Conditions:

• Only candidates residing in the concerned development block are eligible; applications from other blocks or districts will not be accepted in the first invitation.
• If no eligible candidate is found from the block in the first invitation, candidates from other blocks of Balod district may be considered.
• A residence certificate for the concerned block must be attached with the application.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Applications will be scrutinised by the Head of Institution and the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC/SMC) as per prescribed criteria.
• Merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks in qualifying examinations as per the prescribed merit table.
• For High/Higher Secondary School posts, the merit calculation is: 20% of Higher Secondary percentage + 30% of graduation percentage + 50% of postgraduate percentage (100 marks total).
• In case of equal marks, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets preference.
• A waiting list of five candidates in order of merit will be prepared, valid till 31 March 2027.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for participation in the selection process.

Pay, Terms & Conditions of Engagement

• This is a fully temporary arrangement until a regular teacher is appointed or till 31 March 2027, whichever is earlier.
• No formal appointment or posting order will be issued; instructions will be given by the School Management and Development Committee.
• The SMDC/SMC may remove the candidate if work performance is not satisfactory.
• No claim for regularisation of the post will be accepted.
• No leave will be granted except government holidays; the honorarium will be cut proportionately for days absent.
• Honorarium is paid based on attendance certified by the committee and the Head of Institution / Principal.
