Senior Research Associate – Essential Qualification

• First Class M.Sc in any of the following disciplines:
  • Forestry
  • Botany
  • Agriculture
  • Statistics
  • Remote Sensing & Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Wildlife Science
  • Zoology
  • Biotechnology
• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average in aggregate.
• Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor's + 2-year Master's degree must hold UGC / CSIR / ICAL / ICFRE NET qualification or equivalent, or a Ph.D in any of the above disciplines.

Desirable Qualification & Experience

• Experience and willingness to work in forest areas with forest communities.
• Good understanding of the respective subject and its application in the forestry sector.
• Good knowledge of drafting research articles, formal letters, computer operation and applications.
• 4 years of work experience in research and development in the relevant field.
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Candidate should be medically fit to work in different forest areas of Jharkhand.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Step 1 — Enrollment: Candidates must report at Palas Sabhagar, Block-B, Van Bhavan, Doranda, Ranchi-834002 and enrol between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 21 November 2026. Candidates arriving after 11:00 AM may not ordinarily be entertained.
• Step 2 — Written Qualifying Test (if applicable): A qualifying written test may be conducted before the interview if the number of eligible candidates exceeds the available seats.
