Note: The EWS vacancy was previously advertised under Advt. No. 411002/12/2025-NFR and remained unfilled. If no suitable EWS candidate is identified, the post may be re-categorized as Unreserved (UR), allowing General candidates to apply. The post is suitable for Divyang candidates with benchmark disabilities: Low Vision, Hard of Hearing, and Locomotor disability.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Direct Recruitment:
  • Qualification: Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade of B in UGC seven-point scale.
  • Experience (Any one):
    • At least 9 years' experience as Assistant Professor at AGP Rs. 6,000/- (Academic Pay Level 10) and above, including experience in educational administration; OR
    • 5 years' administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent in Pay Band-3, Grade Pay Rs. 5,400 (Pay Level 10) and above, handling computerized administration, Establishment, Stores & Purchase, or financial matters.
  • Desirable: Degree in Law, Management, Engineering, CA, CS, or ICWA from a recognized University/Institute.
• Deputation:
  • Officers of Central/State Governments, Institutes of National Importance, Universities, or PSUs holding an analogous post OR having at least 5 years' service in posts carrying Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/- (Pay Level 11) or equivalent with experience in administration, establishment, and accounts matters.
  • Qualification: Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade of B in UGC seven-point scale.
  • Lien Clause: Only employees of Government organizations, Central Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs allowed to retain lien at their parent organization will be considered.
• Age Relaxation (Direct):
  • IIT (ISM) employees with 3+ years regular service: Max age 50 years.
  • Candidates with 3+ years regular service in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, etc.: Relaxation up to 5 years.
  • Central/State Govt employees, Ex-Servicemen, Divyang candidates: As per GoI norms.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Preliminary Shortlisting: Screening based on essential qualifications and experience. The Institute reserves the right to apply its own methodology if the volume of applications is high.
2. Presentation & Interview: Candidates shortlisted will appear before the Selection Committee. This may be conducted online.
3. Written / Computer Test: May be conducted if required, as per Recruitment Rules.

Travel Allowance: Shortlisted candidates attending the Presentation & Interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro rail fare (AC-3 Tier) on the shortest route from their residence to Dhanbad upon production of tickets.
