KPRB Exam Pattern

Kolkata Police Exam Pattern :

  • Written Test will have objective type questions.
  • Exam is of 90 Marks.
  • Duration of the exam is 1 hour.
  • 25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Hiring process for Kolkata Police Recruitment:

Selection procedure for Kolkata Police Constable Jobs is based on presentation in following rounds.

  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Written Test
  • Medical Examination
  • Verification of Character and Antecedents
  • Interview

Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

  • Photograph and Finger Print will be taken through webcam/biometric device when the candidates appear for Physical Measurement.
  • After that Physical Measurement is taken through Digital Measurement Device.
  • Chest Measurement taken for only those candidates, who will qualify in the Height and Weight Measurement.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 

  • Aspirants qualifying in Physical Measurement will be considered for Physical Efficiency Test.
  • Timing of individual runner taken with the help of Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID).

Written Test: 

  • Aspirants who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test, will be considered for ‘Written Test.’
  • It consists of objective type questions on Current Affairs, General Knowledge, General English, Elementary Mathematics and Analytical Aptitude in multiple choice answer system.

Medical Examination:

Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination at the Hospital, designated by Govt. of West Bengal.

Verification of Character and Antecedents:

Shortlisted candidates need to fill up and submit ‘Verification Roll’ which will be thoroughly enquired into by concerned committee.

Interview:

Those who qualify in the Written Test further considered for Interview.

Tips to crack KPRB exam:

  • Make Subject-wise planning and Pay attention to all topics as mentioned in syllabus.
  • Develop habit of solving past years’ papers. It will give idea about exam pattern also.
  • Develop a clear thinking process so that the moment you see a question, you recap how to solve it in minimum time.
  • You should schedule your time in such a way that you also have to devote your time to proper Revision.
  • Making the brief notes for each subject is a great way to prepare for the exam. Revise all notes made by your from time to time to score good marks in exam.
  • At last step, you should revise all topics to raises your confidence level.
