- Southern Railway Recruitment Board will conduct Written Test for the Posts of Commercial Clerk, Ticket Examiner & Clerk-cum-Typist.
- For Clerk-cum-Typist Position, contenders will have to qualify in the Typing Skill Test Also.

- Southern Railway Chennai JE Exam is an objective type test.
- There will be 150 questions asked to score 150 marks.
- Candidates are required to solve the examination within 2 hours.
- The SR JE Exam will be contributed in two parts Part A and Part B.
