Educational Qualification (All Posts)

• Full-time Postgraduate Degree in MSW (Master of Social Work) from a Government-recognised University or Institute.

Assistant Manager – Experience Requirements

• Social-work background with relevant experience in land acquisition, provisions of the RFCTLARR Act 2013, Government of Gujarat resolutions, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, implementation of R&R policies, social development, planning and monitoring, livelihood programmes, resettlement of project-affected persons, training and capacity building, and liaison with Government bodies and private agencies.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office.

Sr. Executive & Executive – Experience Requirements

• Social-work background with relevant experience in Resettlement & Rehabilitation, R&R policy implementation, social development, planning and monitoring, livelihood programmes, resettlement of project-affected persons, training and capacity building, and liaison with Government bodies and private agencies.
• MS Office proficiency required.
• Preference given to candidates with knowledge of national and State guidelines, policies and Acts relating to land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement, and experience in infrastructure or urban transport sectors.

Pay-Scale / CTC Eligibility for Assistant Manager

• Candidates may currently be working in the revised IDA scale of ₹50,000–₹1,60,000 or equivalent CDA scale in Government, PSU or Metro Rail Corporation.
• Alternatively, candidates must have worked for at least 2 years in revised IDA pay scale of ₹46,000–₹1,45,000 (Non-Executive grade) or ₹40,000–₹1,40,000 (Executive grade) / Level 6 under 7th CPC.
• Another permitted condition: at least 4 years in revised IDA scale of ₹40,000–₹1,25,000 (Non-Executive) or ₹35,000–₹1,10,000 (Executive grade) or equivalent CDA scale.
• Private-sector candidates must have a minimum CTC of ₹70,000 per month.

Age Limit (calculated as on 3 October 2026)

• Assistant Manager: Maximum 35 years
• Sr. Executive: Maximum 32 years
• Executive: Maximum 32 years

The age limit does not apply to GMRCL employees currently on the rolls. This relaxation does not apply to officials re-employed in GMRCL after superannuation.

Preference Criteria

• Candidates who have worked in Gujarat State for approximately 5–7 years, particularly in urban or revenue offices or branches of the Government of Gujarat.
• Candidates conversant with Gujarati language and typing.
• Candidates with more than 5 years of work experience in Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar with familiarity of city geography.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The GMRC selection process for Land Acquisition & R&R posts consists of the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Conducted before the interview. Candidates must carry all original certificates.
2. Personal Interview: The interview will assess knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, aptitude and physical fitness. Date, time and venue will be communicated to shortlisted candidates through their registered email address.
