Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Age limits and experience are reckoned as on 3 November 2026. All qualifications must be from a Government recognized University/Institute. Candidates with 3 or more years of experience in Gujarat State and conversant with the Gujarati language receive preference.

Deputy General Manager (Civil-Safety) – 2 Posts

• Qualification: Graduate in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering along with a minimum one-year full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Experience (IDA/CDA scale): Minimum 8 years of post-qualification executive experience in Government/Semi-government/PSU/Metro Rail Corporation, of which 6 years must be relevant. OR from private sector: 10 years total, 6 relevant.
• Current Pay Condition: Presently working in IDA scale ₹70,000–₹2,00,000 or higher, or Level 10 / equivalent CDA under 7th CPC; OR at least 2 years in ₹60,000–₹1,80,000 or Level 9. Private-sector: minimum CTC ₹1,00,000/month.

Deputy General Manager (Civil-QA/QC) – 1 Post

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a Government recognized University/Institute. Certification/Diploma in Quality is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years post-qualification executive experience in Government/PSUs, 6 relevant. OR 10 years from private infrastructure sector, 6 relevant.
• Current Pay Condition: Same as DGM (Civil-Safety).

Assistant Manager (Civil-Safety) – 4 Posts

• Qualification: Graduate in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering along with a minimum one-year full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety. Preference for Metro/Railways/Flyover/Bridges/High-rise building experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Government/Semi-government/PSU/Metro Rail Corporation, 4 relevant. OR 7 years from private sector, 4 relevant.
• Current Pay Condition: Presently in IDA scale ₹50,000–₹1,60,000 or Level 6 equivalent; OR at least 2 years in ₹46,000–₹1,45,000 or ₹40,000–₹1,40,000 or Level 5; OR at least 4 years in ₹40,000–₹1,25,000 or ₹35,000–₹1,10,000. Private-sector: minimum CTC ₹70,000/month.

Assistant Manager (Civil-QA/QC) – 1 Post

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Quality certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Government/PSUs, 4 relevant (Civil Construction QA/QC). OR 7 years from private sector, 4 relevant.
• Current Pay Condition: Same as Assistant Manager (Civil-Safety).

Section Engineer (Civil-Safety) – 2 Posts

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering along with minimum one-year full-time Diploma in Safety.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in Government/PSUs, 3 relevant (Project Safety/Civil-Safety). OR 5 years from private sector, 3 relevant. Preference for Metro/Railways/High-speed Rails/RRTS experience.
• Current Pay Condition: Presently in IDA scale ₹40,000–₹1,40,000 or equivalent; OR at least 1 year in ₹35,000–₹1,10,000 or higher; OR at least 2 years in ₹30,000–₹1,20,000. Private-sector: minimum CTC ₹50,000/month.

Section Engineer (Civil-QA/QC) – 1 Post

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Quality certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in Government/PSUs, 3 relevant (Civil Construction QA/QC). OR 4 years from private sector, 3 relevant.
• Current Pay Condition: Same as Section Engineer (Civil-Safety).

Engineer – Sr. Grade (M&P) – 1 Post

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Power Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent. Preference for modern urban metro rail systems experience.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification relevant experience in tender document preparation, contract administration, installation, testing & commissioning, or maintenance of Machines & Plants in metro rail or railways.

Engineer – Jr. Grade (Signalling) – 1 Post

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications / Applied Electronics / Industrial Electronics / Power Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification relevant experience in Signalling (CBTC/AFTC/PSD) in Metro Rail/Railways.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates are assessed on knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, aptitude, and physical fitness. Call letters with date, time, and venue are issued via registered email. No specific interview date is printed in the notification.
2. Document Verification: Conducted before the interview. Candidates must carry original certificates; photocopies are submitted with the resume. Failure to produce originals results in disqualification from attending the interview.
3. Medical Examination: As per the medical category prescribed for the post.

Screening Preference: Candidates with experience in the same grade or the immediate lower grade (with 2 years' experience) are preferred. If sufficient suitable candidates are unavailable, candidates from a lower pay scale meeting all prescribed criteria may be considered.

NOC Requirement: Candidates in PSU/Board/Government/Metro Rail organisations must submit an NOC along with the last 5 years' APAR on or before the interview date.

TA/DA: The official notification does not mention reimbursement of TA/DA for attending the interview. Candidates should not expect travel allowance unless stated otherwise by GMRC.

Note: A request to change the interview date or venue will not be entertained. GMRC reserves the right to offer a grade lower than the one applied for.

Applications can be edited before submission but not after final submission. Private-sector candidates must upload a copy of the latest CTC break-up; without it, the application will not be considered.

• Copy of latest CTC break-up for private-sector candidates (mandatory at the time of online application)
• Appointment Letter, proof of date of joining, latest payslip, and Form-16 of the last three years
• NOC from present/previous organisation along with last 5 years' APAR (if applicable)
• Valid Category / Caste Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable)
• Two recent passport-size photographs and a Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)

Important: Impersonation, fabricated documents, false statements, suppression of facts, or unfair means will result in rejection. Canvassing or outside influence is a disqualification. Selection must be accepted within three working days of offer receipt or the next candidate in order of merit will be appointed.
