Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in field civil works in thermal power plants.
• Retirement Clause: Applicant must be a retired official of MPPGCL, Central Government, State Government, or Public Sector Undertaking who has served at the level of Executive Engineer (Civil) or equivalent/higher post.
• Age Limit: No upper age limit, engagement extendable up to 67 years of age.
• Nationality: Indian National.
• Working Hours: Standard office working hours of MPPGCL at the Thermal Power Station.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Scrutiny of Documents: All submitted applications will be scrutinized for eligibility and completeness.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview at the discretion of the competent authority.
3. Basis of Selection: Final selection will be based on qualifications, submitted documents, and interview performance (if called for).

Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.

Job Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Supervise and assist with civil works of upcoming 1x660 MW units at ATPS Chachai and STPS Sarni.
• Provide technical advice for civil works of existing and upcoming 1x660 MW units, including review of designs and drawings.
• Daily monitoring of ongoing civil works and suggesting procedural improvements.
• Assist in execution and monitor compliance of civil works related to environmental norms for thermal power plants.
• Analyze O&M practices of the civil wing in thermal power stations and provide improvement suggestions.
• Provide expert advice for capital or O&M civil works of the plants as required.

Pay & Terms of Engagement

• Remuneration: Last pay drawn minus present pension, or Rs. 1,25,000, whichever is lesser.
• Pension Calculation: Where no pension rules apply, 50% of last monthly pay is treated as pension.
• Contract Duration: Initially for one year, extendable on a yearly basis up to 67 years of age.
• Nature of Employment: Contractual engagement; this is not a permanent cadre appointment.
