Note: Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/PwBD/Women (5 years) and OBC (3 years). Emoluments are as per CSIR/ANRF norms.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• PA-I: 10th + ITI in relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Turner, Electrician) for specific projects.
• PA-II: Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry/Geology for relevant projects.
• SAA: B.Sc. IT/BCA with MS Office & DBMS proficiency (desirable).
• PAT-I: B.Tech/M.Sc. in Chemistry/Geology/Metallurgical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering; NET/GATE qualification may be required for higher pay.
• PAT-II: M.Sc./M.Tech in relevant discipline with 2 years R&D experience; NET/GATE may be required for higher pay.
• Project-JRF: B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification.
• PS-I: Ph.D. in Geology with 2 years experience and 2 SCI publications.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Selection is through Walk-in Interview/Test held on specified dates.
• If candidate volume for a project is high, a screening committee may conduct a written test to shortlist candidates for interview.
• Final selection is at the discretion of CSIR-NML competent authority; decision is final and binding.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview/test.
• Engagement is purely temporary and not a regular CSIR appointment.

• Download and fill the Project Staff Application Form (Advt. No. T/PS/04/2026) in prescribed proforma; separate form for each Group/Project.
• Affix recent self-attested colour passport-size photograph on the form.
• Attach self-attested photocopies of all educational, experience, age-proof, and category certificates.
• Report to CSIR-NML venue between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the date corresponding to your project's Group.
• Carry all original documents for verification along with filled application and copies.
• Final-semester/year students awaiting results (without final result) are not eligible.
