Educational Qualification:
a. A postgraduate qualification in Medicine or Surgery or Public Health and their branches.
b. Teaching and/research experience of not less than ten years.
c. Twenty-five years standing in the Profession.
d. Extensive practical & Administrative experience in the field of medical relief, medical research, medical education or public health organisation and adequate experience of running an important scientific educational institution either as its Head or Head of a Department.
e. Minimum one-year experience as Head of Institution or Head of Department would be required for eligibility.

Pay Scale:
INR
182200-224100/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 67 Years.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a distinguished group of autonomous public medical institutions established to elevate health and wellness standards across India. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Madurai, was officially established on July 3, 2020, through a Government of India gazette notification. The primary objective of AIIMS Madurai is to address regional disparities in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services and to enhance facilities for high-quality medical education across the country.

Currently, AIIMS Madurai operates from its temporary campus at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Ramanathapuram. The academic section commenced in the 2021-2022 academic year. The institution presently accommodates three batches of students and is poised to welcome its fourth batch, reflecting its expanding educational capacity.
