Educational Qualification:
Junior Scientific Officer: Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognised university or institute. Experience: Four years' experience in drugs testing and standardisation and research.

Senior Scientific Assistant: Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognised university or institute. Experience: Two years' experience in drugs testing and standardisation and research.

Pay Scale:
INR
44900-151100/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years.

They are responsible for approval of new drugs, clinical trials in the country, laying down the standards for drugs, control over the quality of imported drugs, co-ordinations of the activities of state drug control organization and providing expert advice with a view of bring out the uniformity in the enforcement of the drugs and cosmetics.
