Educational Qualification:
i. Should be Graduate from a recognized University/ Institution.

ii. Should possess one year Diploma in Coaching from National Institute of Sports/ any recognized University/ recognized Institute in required discipline provided that in case of games in which regular course is not available in the NIS/Universities/ Institutions, candidate should possess Post Graduation in Physical Education (two years integrated course) from recognized University/ Institution. Candidate should have sports discipline coaching specialization during Post Graduation in Physical Education course and should have participated at National Level in that Sport. In case Post Graduation, Physical Education course do not have sports discipline coaching specialization, then candidate should have passed higher License/ level coaching course from the concerned National/ International Federation.

Pay Scale:
INR
9300-34800/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 37 Years.

About 8000 years ago the area was also known to be a home to the Harappans.

Since the medieval through modern era, the area was part of the large and prosperous Punjab Province which was divided into East & West Punjab during partition of the country in 1947. The city was conceived not only to serve as the capital of East Punjab, but also to resettle thousands of refugees who had been uprooted from West Punjab.
