Kutch Railway Company Limited (KRC) was incorporated on 22nd January 2004. The main purpose of KRC was to look into finance, construct, operate, maintain and manage railway project and facilitate in particular the gauge conversion of Gandhidham - Palanpur.
Kutch Railway Company was formed with equity contribution from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Kandla Port Trust (KPT), Mundra Port & SEZ Limited (MPSEZ) and Govt. of Gujarat (GoG).
KRC is carring out the operations and maintenance of the rail line through Western Railway (WR), as their nominated operator.
